Knuckling Down

Don't expect the blogs to be very interesting on the week days now I might just do them on the weekends. We satarted at the Kinder today but my co-worker the other english teacher (who is chinese and cannot speak that much english!) was away on holidays but came back around 12.
So for the first few hours I just went around various classrooms watching the children and what they did...then we had lunch and usually I would stay till 4 to teach the afternoon classes but English doesn't start till next week so I just asked Sally the other english teacher some questions and then I got to go home! That was the most exciting part because I slept for 2 hours...the wooden bed is great now I'm loving it :)
No interesting photo's today but I'll try to take some at dinner. And!!! I'm going to the Summer Palace on Saturday so that should be just Dandy.
Oh yeah Last night I was chatting to the Dad who is super keen to learn English so we each have a book that we right down our words in and he asked me to pick an English name for him! haha so I tried John, Jack, Will, and Tom etc but he was stuck on Preston haha (his name book was very old) He said he liked German names or American and the Chinese like names that sound like there normal ones. His is Whaung Tong Whu (or somthing possibly a little bit like that!) but he thought Tom sounded too young and alot of Chinese have Will because of Prince William. He said he wanted a strong name, I said Hercules, haha he laughed and said too strong! So I said in Australia short names are good and strong and looked at the W section so it owuld be like his name. I chose WADE.... He loves it! and it sounds a little like Whaung when they say it.....
